When I saw the theme was Barns and Farms, I thought of two songs I have recorded and co-written off of my latest record, The Craig Demos, “Janesville” and “Springs.” They are from a song cycle about the American painter, Jackson Pollock.

I played the guitar for what seemed like an hour and gave it a good test run. This Tele was doing the talking, and I was listening. When we emerged from the iso room, I knew I had found a guitar that I wanted. But this was not a Fender Telecaster, it was called an Ithacaster, and made in Ithaca, New York. This was a brand new guitar.
Greetings to everyone from Liberty, Tennessee, on the edge of the Cumberland Plateau. I certainly do hope that the world is shining brightly on you as we approach summer. This is the first spring that I will have seen in its entirety in middle Tennessee, after thirteen years of hanging my hat here.
