It has been over two months since my last blog and it’s hard to believe. When I last wrote I spoke about tea arriving at my Dad’s and how I would be taking mugshots along the way on my travels. My UK tour finished on November 19 and it was a fab time indeed. Funky pubs, Social clubs, a Repurposed House of Worship, an English Roadhouse, a dark, hip, a second floor Renaissance-y, restored nearly ruined, drinking and listening room, among one of my favorite walks, a Music and Yoga Studio concert, an Italian Restaurant/Jazzy Supper Club, a former Flax Spinning Mill turned pub and concert hall and others.
Greetings and welcome from Baltimore. I’m writing from my Dad’s apartment, not far from where I grew up. I’m having a mug of green tea this morning and staring at a peach and deciding on whether to have that with my cereal or a banana. Maybe I’ll have both. There are locally grown tomatoes on the window sill and the Maryland sweet corn I’ve had while here has been some of the best ever.
Back in February I had the one of the world’s greatest harmonica players over to my studio, Artland, here in Nashville to do some recording. Mickey Raphael, born and raised in Dallas, Texas, has been performing and recording with Willie Nelson for over four decades.
Welcome to my blog. I am excited to announce that I’m working on a new solo recording project that will be released in the summer 2017. The working title of the project is Heart and Home. The album will feature new songs and tunes that include stories of the heart and tales from Baltimore. Sign up for my blog and keep in touch to hear about the release date and other news. Thanks for visiting.
